Supporting businesses and development projects

What an Insika project engagement involves, how it is structured, and what a client can expect at each stage.

The kinds of work we take on

Project engagements in Lesotho typically fall into these categories.

Regulatory pathway assessments
Establishing which licences, permits and approvals a specific project requires, in what order, and what each will take. Usually the first engagement, and often the most valuable.
Licence and permit applications
Preparing and managing applications end to end, including the underlying clearances that the application depends on.
Environmental coordination
Appointing and managing environmental practitioners, and running the process to a record of decision so it does not gate the rest of the project.
Feasibility and investment preparation
Commercial, technical and regulatory feasibility, financial modelling and the documentation a funder or investment committee assesses.
Tender readiness and bid support
Auditing compliance standing, structuring for preference margins, identifying partners and compiling bids.
Project management and monitoring
Tracking milestones, outstanding requirements and the steps waiting on somebody else, which is where most delay actually comes from.

What a project engagement looks like

01
Discovery

We establish what the project is, where it is, what stage it is at, and what you are trying to achieve commercially.

02
Assessment

We identify the requirements, the risks and the regulatory pathway, and tell you honestly whether the project works as described.

03
Scope and quote

A defined scope with a fee, normally structured by stage so you are not committing to the full programme up front.

04
Delivery

Documentation prepared, specialists appointed and managed, applications lodged and regulatory engagement run.

05
Monitoring and close-out

Progress tracked and reported, conditions turned into operating requirements, and support continued where it is needed.

On case studies. We do not publish client projects without the client's permission, and we do not publish invented ones. Named Lesotho case studies will appear here as clients agree to be named. If you would like references relevant to your sector, ask and we will arrange what we are permitted to share.
